Conrad de RosenIn 1660 he married Marie-Sophie de Rosen,[3] Reinhold's only child. His father-in-law died in 1667 and de Rosen inherited Dettwiller, Herrenstein [fr], and Bollwiller in Alsace. Bollwiller, however had been pawned to the Fugger by Reinhold and Conrad had to pay his father-in-law's debt. He ceded his claims to parts of the Livonian family properties to his brother Otto (died 1709). In 1669 he became a colonel.

Conrade-Alexandre Gerard (1729-90), native of Masevaux. His father was feudal administrator of the Rottembourg estates which were later added to those of the Rosen clan, making their joint heirs among the most extensive landholders in Alsace. The seigneur of Masevaux at the time Gerard was born there was Conrad-Alexandre de Rottembourg, who gave the child his name and the example of a career in diplomacy.
Conrad Alexandre, comte de Rottembourg (1864-1735), was a grandson of Conrad de Rosen, Saint-Simon's "seigneur of Bollwiller," one of the generals of Louis XIV, and marechal de France. Rottembourg served in several diplomatic missions, including one in Madrid where he negotiated the first Family Compact (1733) between the Bourbon monarchies of France and Spain.
So Rottembourg has estates in Masevaux, and his estates must go to his niece, Jeanne Octavie de Vaudrey, who marries Anne Armand de Rosen, marquis of Bollwiller, which must be when the estates get combined.
After the family's extinction, in 1572, the investiture was given to the lords of Bollwiller, then to the counts of Fugger, their heirs. Dispossessed by the Swedes , the Fuggers were reinstated by the Treaty of Munster and sold their rights, in 1680 to Field Marshal Conrad de Rosen , with the consent of Louis XIV , who converted the engagement into a fief . The same Conrad de Rosen sold the seigneury ( 1684 ) to his son -in- law Nicolas-Frédéric de Rothenbourg  ; this one had for successor his son, Conrad-Alexandre, who was French ambassador to the courts of Spain and Prussia , and died in 1735 , after having acquired the seigneury of Rougemont [Which one?]  ; he left this inheritance to his sister, married to Nicolas-Joseph, count of Vaudrey and baron of Saint-Rémy , whose daughter, Jeanne-Octavie, married the marquis de Rosen and brought him these domains as a dowry .

The census made by notaries only records books of value. Sometimes, the references to “small books of all kinds and of little value” or “several mismatched books” 7 indicate that the inventory was incomplete. It therefore does not mention acquisitions of new, illicit or licentious literature or even published abroad 8. However, the inventory after death does not only reflect the taste of the deceased. The latter had been able to inherit the library from his father, most often a counselor himself.
